A Personality Disorder is an inner experience varying markedly
from that of others within the same culture, usually manifesting in
adolescence or young adulthood. Personality Disorders are considered
enduring and inflexible and an impairment to perception of self or
others, appropriateness of emotional response, interpersonal
relationships and/or impulse control. Personality Disorders lead to
distress in daily living and are not considered the result of substance

"The best thing I can do is not let myself get caught up in a
situation that will bring this disorder on. One thing I have had to
learn is to completely distance myself - physically, mentally, and
socially from the offending situation. Sometimes this has meant
moving away"
- Jonathan, New York (NY)
